Surf Schools
Kingo's Surf Schools operate all year round in South Australia.
Schools are run in Goolwa Beach, Port Lincoln, Coffin Bay,
Elliston, Venus Bay and Streaky Bay. Locals, visitors and
backpackers in Adelaide can join a surf class either at Goolwa or
the Eyre Peninsula
Anyone can do it!
With a Physical Education teaching degree and a background in
Special Education, along with many years as a swimming and aquatics
instructor, I have developed my own unique style of teaching
surfing, which makes the sport accessible to any one. There are no
restrictions on who can learn to surf. Anyone can do it. Most surf
schools only cater for fit, able bodied participants, but my
techniques can help everyone. People of any age, any gender, any
size, varying physical or mental abilities, and from any background
can all take part in my lessons. Classes can be tailored to suit
individuals or groups of up to twenty four. Instruction ranges from
absolute beginner classes right up to advanced coaching
techniques.
I have spent the last 17 years on Eyre Peninsula and have now
moved to Goolwa where I have started Adelaide's newest Surf School.
I have a 13 seat Mini Bus I use to transport groups from Adelaide
to the best surfing beaches Adelaide, the Fleurieu Peninsula and
Eyre Peninsula have to offer.

What makes Kingo's Surf School one of the best Surf Schools in
Australia?
- Location - Kingo has a license to teach
surfing at some of the safest, protected, most consistent, and
uncrowded beaches in Australia.
- Equipment - Kingo uses the safe soft boards
most schools provide, but finds learners graduate from these boards
in the early stages of their development. With uncrowded beaches
and small numbers Kingo introduces "real" fibreglass surfboards
when the student is ready, allowing them to progress their surfing
at an even faster rate.
- Experienced Instructors - Kingo spent 4 years
at Uni studying PE teaching. After 17 years school teaching and
surf coaching, and over 26 years of surfing all over the globe
Kingo has developed his own unique style of Surf Instruction which
is adaptable to any type of learner. His experience, passion and
knowledge is what really sets Kingo's Surf School apart from the
others.
